Replacing XBOX Slim Ribbon Cable (Eject/Power On)
Hi All…
So…not sure if I was the only one experiencing this issue or not. I RGH’d my slim back in December. Everything went as it should, and the RGH has been working flawlessly. However, I soon realized that when I was removing the case on my slim I must have scratched the ribbon cable close to the eject area. This prevented me from ejecting the drive using the touch sensitive area on the front panel. The power button still worked. This sucked as it would not let me boot into Xell Reloaded using my eject button.
I decided to purchase a new ribbon cable on Amazon for $10, and followed this tutorial on replacing it. Thought I’d share for anyone experiencing a similar issue.
